INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT

Trans people can connect with a registered social worker for personal support and to obtain information and resources about transitioning, community supports, and hormone therapy. EVENTS, WORKSHOPS, & ACTIVITIES

The Gilbert Centre hosts a variety of social, educational, and community activities for trans and gender diverse people, including the on going Trans Q* Social Group. Some of our previous events included:

  • Guest Speakers (ie. Advanced Care Planning)
  • Anxiety and Support Group
  • Hormone Injection Workshop

SOCIALIZE.

TRANS Q* SOCIAL GROUP

A discreet weekly meeting for trans men, trans women, non-binary, gender variant folk, and people who are questioning. Trans Q* Social meetings are peer run and provide an opportunity to hear about people’s lived experience. The atmosphere is casual, conversational, and drop-in is welcome. Discussion topics vary based on the group attendance, and sometime include:

  • Binding
  • Testosterone and Estrogen
  • Resources
  • Transition Information
  • Coming Out
  • Relationships
  • Health Care
  • Sexual Health
