Volunteers have been the backbone of the Gilbert Centre (and the ACSC before that) since day one. Volunteers bring a wealth of skills, talents and experiences essential to the success of our mission, vision, and values. The Gilbert Centre also values the contributions made by practicum and placement students from a range of areas of study and a variety of institutions.
If you have an interest in volunteering, please check out our current opportunities and complete a volunteer application. If you are a student or an educational institution looking for placement opportunities, please contact the Program Director, Colin Green at ColinG@GilbertCentre.ca
According to the Gilbert Centre’s By-laws, membership is open to all persons interested in fostering the purpose and objectives of the organization.
To become a member, individuals must apply for membership and be accepted by the Board of Directors. Members must also pay the annual dues of $20.
The Gilbert Centre is a not for profit organization registered in Ontario. As such, the organization belongs to its members. Members are responsible for electing a Board of Directors at an Annual General Meeting of members and for actively contributing to the Gilbert Centre’s pursuit of its mission, vision, values, and strategic plan. Members are essential for ensuring the needs and interests of the community are represented in the agency’s objectives and operations.
