LGBTQ YOUTH & FAMILY PROGRAMMING

LGBTQ+
YOUTH
CONNECTION

The Gilbert Centre runs a program called QT Youth Connection which is a drop-in and social space for Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer+ youth aged 12-30. Our goal is to provide opportunities for youth to get together in a relaxed social space and to access resources and support on topics and issues that relate to gender, sexual orientation, sexual health, mental health, education, employment, and more.

In-person groups take place in Barrie, Midland, and Stayner, and we have a Discord server where youth from across Simcoe Muskoka can connect virtually.

A discord server has been created as an e-drop in social space, facilitating youth to connect with each other and the community.

Contact Ellis for any inquiries, or for a link to our server: EllisG@GilbertCentre.ca or 249-535-0585.

Gen Q is a group for 2S-LGBTQ+ young adults ages 20-30. We meet in-person at the Gilbert Centre on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, and online via our Discord server on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. Contact Ellis for any inquiries or a link to our Discord server: EllisG@GilbertCentre.ca & (249)-535-0585
